Landlord Accreditation Scotland

Chapmans are accredited property management agents with the Landlords Accreditation Scotland. Under this scheme, there are certain minimum standards that must apply to our rented properties. A copy of the Code of Standards for the scheme may be obtained from their website in the link below.

Council of Letting Agents

Chapmans are a member of the Council of Letting Agents and have signed up to their Code of Conduct.

The CLA is Scotland’s top Letting Agents and takes the lead in Scotland’s lettings sector. Collaborating with different Scottish Parliament and UK Parliament departments, alongside local authorities in Scotland, SAL advocates for the acknowledgement of our professional interests.

Client Money Protection Scheme

Chapmans are a member of the Council of Letting Agents and have signed up Chapmans hold Public Liability & Client Money Protection Insurance through Lonsdale Insurance Brokers Ltd. This is a mandatory requirement for Letting Agents in Scotland.

Chartered Institution of Housing

Chapmans were one of the first agencies in Scotland ready to meet the new training requirements and ‘fit and proper person test’ which came into force when the new Scottish Registration of Agents and new Letting Agent Code of Practice.

Chapmans are registered with the Scottish Government Letting Agent Register. Our Letting Agent Registration Number is LARN1812036 – this is essential for operating in Scotland.
