Tenancy Transitions Coordinator
Chapmans Property Lettings & Management – Edinburgh (Roseburn)
Full-time | Permanent
£25,000–£27,000 DOE + Benefits
A brand-new role with real responsibility
We’re hiring! Join us as a Tenancy Transiotions Coordinator
As Chapmans continues to grow, we’ve created a brand-new position within our Property Management team.
We’re looking for an exceptional person to join us as a Tenancy Transitions Coordinator, taking ownership of everything that happens between one tenancy ending and the next beginning.
Every property has dozens of moving parts behind the scenes. Inspections, inventories, contractors, maintenance, cleaning, deposits and tenant move-ins all need to come together, often against tight deadlines.
You’ll be the person who makes it happen.
It’s a varied, hands-on position where you’ll spend time both out at properties across Edinburgh and in the office, helping to make every tenancy transition run smoothly while supporting our experienced Property Managers.
If you’re organised, practical, enjoy solving problems and take real pride in doing things properly, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
Working closely with our Property Managers, you’ll take ownership of many of the operational tasks involved in preparing properties between tenancies and ensuring every move runs smoothly.
From the outset, you’ll be involved in:
- Carrying out property inspections, inventories, tenant check-ins and check-out inspections
- Producing detailed reports and photographs
- Identifying maintenance, cleaning and compliance issues
- Coordinating cleaners, contractors and follow-on works
- Preparing properties ready for new tenants
- Supporting property managers with deposit evidence and documentation
- Helping minimise void periods by ensuring properties are ready on time
- Supporting routine maintenance coordination during quieter periods
In this role, no two days and no two seasons are ever the same.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re much more interested in attitude than previous property experience.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in doing a job properly
- Notices the small details others miss
- Enjoys organising people, contractors and projects
- Is practical and happy working in properties and in the office
- Communicates confidently and professionally
- Can manage competing priorities while staying calm under pressure
- Enjoys solving problems and improving processes
- Wants to build a long-term career with one business
Experience in property, hospitality, customer service, facilities management, construction, project coordination or interior design would be an advantage but not essential.
Training is provided.
What You’ll Need
To succeed in the role, you’ll need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Good IT skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Great attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
- A genuine interest in property and delivering excellent customer service
